In order to survive in null sec you will need to know a few things and some survival tips.
First and for most expect that you will be killed at least once while you are in null sec. Wither it is to reds bubble camping or hot dropping or using a neutral to get past your defenses as they were not previously marked red. Be vigilant and watching the intel channels for others that my have ran into gate camps.
While traveling keep your self focused on your overview and where you are going. One great survival tips is to not be distracted by what is happening in your PUB or private conversations. Reds will try to private message you to see if you are active and try to use this same tactic to grab your focus. Once they have your focus they can go about trying to get the jump on you.
Pay attention though to your intel channels. Report reds once you are safe at a station or safe spot or while in warp to the “TheCitadel” and “SOV SPACE” channels. It would be wise to report the fleet composition using Almost Broken’s dscan tool.
Use a travel interceptor when moving about so you are extremely hard to catch by gate campers. Though you are not invincible you will get through 95% of all the gate camps in eve.
Use jump bridges to help your movement around providence. They greatly increase the range you are able to go by bypassing bottlenecks/gate camps around providence. You will need to have standings with the owner of the jump bridges so get in contact with the holder alliances for access to use them.
Escort are vital if you are trying to fly something of value around. Yes it is possible to watch intel channels and be successful when moving expensive items. However, here is a chance a wormhole opened up and the person was not reported in the intel channel and has warped to the other side of the gate you just landed on. And once you jump through you can die. This is where a scout can let you know if it is clear to jump into the system and continue your journey.
When in a fleet, always listen to the FC’s orders. Do not go off on your own as you will most likely get killed or the fleet killed trying to save you.
